Dystopia Wetlands

Dystopia Wetlands invites into Livia Rita and the Avantgardeners Collective’s multisensory world, blending sound, movement, and immersive visuals. As a response to our current troubled times, the performance offers a speculative landscape between dystopia and utopia, where more-than-human creatures move through space in states of metamorphosis - a powerful metaphor for adaptation and fluid identity.

As a community organiser, Livia‘s work embraces collaboration amongst artists from various disciplines and natural habitats. For Dystopia Wetlands activates a fluid network of dance performers across The Netherlands and beyond for an evening of feminist and post-gender choreography. Dystopia Wetlands embraces non-human movement, dissolving the boundaries of the body through brave, collective rituals of expression.
